Below is a brief summary of what's going on at Bedfords: 

Forest, Fire and Food - Christmas celebration Saturday 16th December 1-6pm. 

We have achieved so much this year at Bedford Fields - from building our reciprocal roundhouse compost toilet and nursery area to putting on more workshops and events than last year. Come reflect and celebrate what all of you and us have done this year over mulled things, lovely food and roaring hot fire! Come any time from 1 - 6pm. Would we also love anyone to help in the morning. Hope to see you there our wonderful forest garden gnomes and friends!

WORKDAYS:  Saturdays 11am- 4:00pm AND Fridays 10:30am - 12:30pm.

Last workday is Friday 15th December. Workdays resume Friday 12th January 2018

Come join in with forest garden fun at Bedfords. Learn about forest gardening, sustainable food growing, relax, socialise and have fun with like-minded lovely people with us!

We are preparing the garden for winter where a few important tasks can happen which we only do in winter: these include:

- Winter pruning of woody plants, path laying and renewal, potting up layered fruit bushes and cardboard mulching top fruit and soft fruit.

Just don't forget to bring comfortable clothes and sturdy footwear. Please note it's now getting really cold so please bring very warm clothes. Come for as long or as little as you'd like. No previous gardening experience necessary and we provide all the tools! Late2017 and early 2018

Winter tree identification: an introduction - Saturday February 10th and 17th, 10am - 2:30pm. A one day workshop run twice. Learn how to identify the commonest tree species in winter in and around Bedford Fields garden. £15-30, 10 - 2:30pm. Lunch incl.
